It’s tax time at Goodwill – the time of year when Goodwill offers free tax services to individuals and families who earned $53,000 or less in 2014.

IRS-trained volunteers prepared nearly 500 returns in Newnan alone last year. Overall, the Goodwill effort helped taxpayers find more than $5 million in tax returns in 2014.

The free tax preparation begins on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Newnan West Career Center at 228 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan. Volunteers will be on hand to help from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
