The Peachtree City Library will host Patron Appreciation Day on Friday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Members of Friends of the Peachtree City Library will offer free coffee, hot chocolate and sweet treats to patrons visiting the library that day.
Peachtree City Library has a new subscription to Zinio, which provides access to full-text digital magazines via your home computer or mobile device of choice.
Magazine subscriptions included in the library’s service include Conde Nast Traveler, Better Homes and Gardens, Golf Digest, Runner’s World Aviation Week, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker and The Atlantic.
“Our patrons are going to love Zinio,” says librarian Jill Prouty. “Once you check out a magazine, you can sync it to an app on your mobile device to read later–anytime, anywhere, with or without wifi. Checkouts are simultaneous, so you don’t have to wait for a copy to become available. Even better, they never expire.”
Prouty and her colleague, Jennifer Green, will be on hand during Patron Appreciation Day to help new users access Zinio.
Those interested in the service should bring their mobile devices with them.
“The generous support of the Friends of the Peachtree City Library made this service possible,” says Prouty.
