Karen Hoyt, director of Children’s Ministries at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone, worked with the children and adults to clean up the courtyard at Robert J. Burch Elementary last month. The group worked intensely for a couple of hours pulling weeds, digging up small trees and manicuring the area. The church and the school are neighbors on Jenkins Road in Tyrone.
