Two Sparrows Village has officially integrated into the nonprofit’s family of services

ATLANTA (March 30, 2026) – Christian City, the 61-year-old nonprofit organization with a nearly 500-acre, multigenerational campus located in South Fulton County, announced that it has officially integrated Two Sparrows Village into its family of services. Since 2021, Two Sparrows Village has operated on Christian City’s campus, providing housing and day programs for neurodiverse adults with intellectual and developmental differences.

This addition will expand Christian City’s services to support adults with developmental disabilities, helping address a critical housing and services gap as more than 7,000 Georgians wait years for the New Options Waiver (NOW) and Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program (COMP), which provide essential in-home and community-based care.

Located in the center of its campus, Two Sparrows Village offers apartment-style suites where residents and day participants can live in an inclusive community alongside neurotypical adults, with access to day programming designed to support independence and daily living skills. The program currently houses four residents, with plans to welcome additional residents in newly renovated apartments in the future.

“Adults with intellectual disabilities are one of the most vulnerable populations in our community,” said Keith Horton, President and CEO of Christian City. “Through our Two Sparrows Village programming, we are providing a safe, supportive environment where they can build independence while remaining connected to a broader community. Our goal is to continue building a future where people of all abilities can thrive in a community rooted in faith, hope and long term support and services.”

Founded in 2017, Two Sparrows was established to provide housing, life skills development and a strong sense of community. Since joining Christian City’s campus in 2021, the program has grown its presence, and this milestone marks a natural evolution, expanding both its reach and long-term impact.

“We’re creating a place where adults with intellectual disabilities can live independently while fostering deep connections with a supportive, intergenerational community,” said Jacque Thornton, President at Two Sparrows Village. “By merging with Christian City, our vision for Two Sparrows Village becomes even more meaningful as our residents engage with and contribute to the campus’ vibrant environment.”

To celebrate its newest program, Christian City will host a screening and premiere of the first episode of Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum on Wednesday, April 1 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on its campus, located at 7345 Red Oak Road in Union City. The event will feature an appearance and Q&A with Two Sparrows Villages’ own, Georgie Harris, who stars in the Netflix show. Harris participates in the day program at Christian City and has become a mentor to her peers in the program. Tours of the day program and its activities will also take place during the screening for interested families.

Christian City celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2025, embarking on a monumental year of growth and transformation, bolstering key programs and expanding its capacity to serve. It remains the only nonprofit in the region to collectively care for and build community for children, youth, families and adults. Its continuum of services includes residential group homes for children, foster and adoption services, support for youth experiencing homelessness, housing and care for youth who have aged out of foster care and supportive independent living for neurodiverse adults.

About Christian City, Inc.

Christian City is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and a community that feels like family.

It was established in 1965 when the first cottage for homeless children opened in south metro Atlanta on 50 acres of donated land. Active senior living homes were soon added, followed by skilled nursing and rehab and assisted living. PruittHealth operates the assisted living and skilled nursing centers on campus, and National Church Residences operates four HUD-supported apartment complexes and one LIHTC community. Our programs for children and families have expanded to include five distinct areas: residential group homes for children, foster and adoption services, runaway and homeless youth services, support and homes for youth who have aged out of foster care, and building healthy families. Today, more than 1,000 residents—children, youth, and adults across the lifespan — live on our 500-acre campus. Through each of its programs, Christian City seeks to extend Christ’s call to love your neighbor.
