Fayetteville, GA: Bloom Our Youth, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children impacted by foster care in Georgia, is celebrating a new chapter in its leadership. The organization announces Stephen Porter, CEO of Piedmont Fayette, as the new Chair of its Board of Directors.

Porter has over 25 years of leadership experience and a strong commitment to community service. As CEO of Piedmont Fayette, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have enhanced the well-being of the community throughout Fayette County and beyond. At Bloom, his work as Vice Chair led to expanded donor engagement and successful board recruitment, directly enhancing Bloom’s capacity to serve more children.

“Stephen is a well-respected leader in the community with a heart for service,” said Becky Davenport, CEO of Bloom. “His vision, experience, and longstanding commitment to Bloom’s mission will be invaluable as we continue to expand our programs across Georgia.”

Porter is a graduate of James Madison University and has a Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia. Porter and his wife, Julie, live in Fayetteville and have two children, Jacob and Maura.

“Collaborative partnerships with organizations like Bloom amplify the impact of Piedmont’s mission to create healthier communities and support vulnerable populations,” said Porter. “It’s my honor to serve with this outstanding organization that positively touches thousands of lives each year with dedication and compassion for Georgia’s foster children and families.”
