Dawn Davenport is living the American dream.
During the fall, Davenport worked as a sideline reporter for ESPNU and covered some of the biggest games in college football.

As bowl season swings into action this week, Davenport will be strolling the sidelines at the Heart of Dallas Bowl and the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham. She graduated from McIntosh High School in 1998, and then headed to Auburn where she graduated in 2002.
After graduation, Davenport was the first female sportscaster in Wilmington, N.C. and then worked in Richmond, Va. After a short stint in Richmond, she has spent the last six years of her career in Nashville, where she was the weekend sportscaster for WKRN.
In May, she switched to the morning anchor for the station and started working with the sports network this fall.

Because she’s in Nashville, Davenport has also gotten a chance to work other gigs, such as covering the Country Music Awards.
Even though she’s one of the hardest working women in the industry, Dawn’s mother said she still manages to have some fun
“She and her brother are headed to the BCS National Championship to watch Auburn,” said Buffie Davenport.
