Word of God Lutheran church in Peachtree City recently sent eight of its members to Honduras on a mission trip. The week-long trip brought the mission team to a hospital called “Loma de Luz”, where they connected with medical missionary and hospital lab technician Christine Bell, of Newnan. Christine lives in Honduras full time, but she, along with her parents, are members of Word of God.

During the week at the hospital, team members worked on several projects including the building of a nurse’s station, painting of cabinets in the hospital lab, and helped complete work on a Samaritan’s Purse renovation project.

Mission team members also brought with them many much needed medical supplies donated by the members of Word of God congregation.

The mission team included Danny Bell, Margie Bell, Lars Kuhr, Tim Ruck, Bert Laaker, Ralph Quamme, Karen Quamme, and Pastor John Fraser.
