0Jackeline Zamora-Guzman knows the meaning of power, earning a selection to the semifinals of the Your Voice is Power competition.
A partnership of Georgia Tech, Yellow, and the Amazon Future Engineer program, Your Voice is Power is a competition to remix beats while learning to code. Using EarSketch, a free online code editor, competitors compose a unique song while learning computer science.
Making the semifinals means Jackeline was one of the top 100 entries in the competition, and it also came with a $25 Amazon gift card as a prize.
Jackeline, now a student at Whitewater Middle, entered the contest last school year as part of the Fayette Virtual Academy’s asynchronous technology class.
