PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. โ€“ Midwest Food Bank Georgia is proud to celebrate the 20-year partnership between Midwest Food Bank and State Farm, recognizing two decades of shared commitment to alleviating hunger, supporting disaster relief efforts, and strengthening communities across the country.

While the partnership spans Midwest Food Bank’s national network, State Farm’s investment has made a meaningful impact here in Georgia through financial support, volunteer engagement, and collaborative service initiatives that help provide food and hope to thousands of individuals and families each year.

Since opening in 2011, Midwest Food Bank Georgia has grown from serving just nine nonprofit partners to supporting more than 268 nonprofit agencies across Georgia and the Southeast. In 2025 alone, the Georgia Division distributed more than $38 million worth of food and essential supplies at no cost, helping serve more than 250,000 individuals through food pantries, churches, schools, shelters, senior programs, and other nonprofit organizations.

“We are incredibly grateful for State Farm’s continued partnership and the difference they have made in communities across Georgia and throughout the Midwest Food Bank network,” said Pat Burke, Chief Operating Officer of Midwest Food Bank and Executive Director of the Georgia Division. “Their generosity goes beyond financial support. Their employees continually show up to serve alongside our volunteers, helping us extend hope to families facing hunger and preparing for disaster response. Together, we are making a lasting impact.”

In recent years, State Farm has partnered with Midwest Food Bank Georgia through employee volunteer service, financial support, and collaborative community initiatives, including the Atlanta Hawks Million Meal Pack and other service opportunities that have helped increase awareness of food insecurity while providing nutritious food to neighbors in need.

Midwest Food Bank Georgia is also thankful for the continued partnership of local State Farm agents, whose support helps advance the mission of alleviating hunger in our local communities. Their investment demonstrates how local businesses can make a lasting impact by giving back where they live and work.

Together, this partnership has helped:

  • Strengthen food assistance efforts serving children, seniors, veterans, and families experiencing food insecurity.
  • Support disaster relief preparation and response throughout Georgia and the Southeast.
  • Engage State Farm employees in meaningful volunteer experiences that directly impact local communities.
  • Expand Midwest Food Bank’s ability to provide food and relief supplies at no cost to nonprofit partners.

As food insecurity continues to impact one in seven Georgians, partnerships like State Farm’s remain essential in helping Midwest Food Bank Georgia meet growing community needs.

“This milestone celebrates far more than the length of a partnership,” Burke said. “It celebrates thousands of volunteers, donors, nonprofit partners, and State Farm employees who have chosen to serve others and make hope possible.”

As Midwest Food Bank Georgia celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, the organization looks forward to continuing its relationship with State Farm and other community partners who share a commitment to serving those in need.
