Pet of the Week: Meet Little Bit

Found waiting patiently on the sidewalk off Old Highway 85 in Coweta County, this beautiful girl named Little Bit sat exactly where she was left, hoping her people would return. After a community effort and a stay at Coweta County Animal Control, it became clear she was ready for a fresh start. We stepped in to save her, and she has been thriving in her foster home ever since!

Little Bit (GSP, 3 years old, 46 pounds) is a true “Velcro dog” who just wants to be near her people. If you’re looking for a shadow, she’s your girl! She is rarely seen without an “emotional support item”—whether it’s a toy, a ball, or even a favorite pinecone. She wags her tail so ferociously her whole body moves, and she’ll “talk” to you to tell you how happy she is to see you!  She is very dog-friendly! She gets so excited she’ll give her doggy friends face licks. She is especially patient and sweet with puppies.

She is a smart, well-behaved girl who is already potty trained and crate trained. Because of her loyal nature, she can be protective of her “safe spots” (like the couch or her food bowl) when other dogs are around.

Her perfect family will:

• Use her crate for mealtimes and sleeping—she loves her “den” and it helps her feel secure!

• Understand her “guard dog” instincts and help her maintain healthy boundaries with other pets.

• Give her plenty of love, toys to carry, and a spot by their side.
