Mary and JosephĀ came into the shelter together as strays. Sadly, no one came for them. While they can be adopted separately, itās easy to see they take comfort in one another. Theyāre a lovely, easygoing pair who have likely shared a lot of life side by side. Both are now hoping for what they deserve most: a warm, peaceful home to spend their days.
MaryĀ is a sociable sweetheart. At about 62 pounds, with a gray-brown coat, and estimated to be between 6ā8 years old, she loves to give kisses, soak up hugs, and make new friends. She walks nicely on leash, thinks treats are the best thing ever, and already knows several commands and tricks. Mary is smart, attentive, and eager to please.
JosephĀ is the quieter soul. Donning a black and white coat, weighing 68 pounds, and around 8 years old, heās calm, gentle, and content just being near his people. He enjoys playing with balls and squeaky toys but is mostly laid back and easygoing. Joseph walks well but sometimes shows a bit of stiffness, possibly from mild arthritis, and would likely do best in a home without cats.
Both dogsĀ are incredibly loving and well-mannered and would thrive in a comfortable home where they can relax, stretch out on soft beds, and enjoy the slower pace theyāve earned. The shelter is a hard place for dogs at this stage of life, and Mary and Joseph are hoping someone will see them and offer the comfort and stability they deserve.
Whether youāre drawn to Maryās affectionate nature or Josephās calm, steady presenceāor have room in your heart for bothāthese two are ready to bring warmth, love, and companionship into a lucky home.
Mary and JosephĀ are available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located atĀ 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is openĀ Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., andĀ weekends from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.Ā Come meet Mary and Joseph and see if oneāor bothāmight be the perfect addition to your home.
