A Sweet, Gentle Boy Seeking a Warm Comfy Home for the Holidays
Mel is a lovable 4–5-year-old pup with the most heart-melting face and one striking blue eye that makes him stand out instantly. At about 45 pounds, he’s that perfect manageable medium size that is both sturdy and cuddly. He came into the shelter with another dog who has since been adopted, and now it’s his turn to find a family.
This sweet boy loves people and welcomes affection with gratitude. He’s dog-friendly with proper introductions but we don’t think he’d enjoy living with cats. Mel came in with some skin issues, but he’s healing well and looking better every day.
Mel is eligible for Weekend Warrior, which allows a family to take him home for a short break from the shelter with no commitment required. It’s a wonderful chance to get to know him, and even if adoption isn’t possible, it gives him a wonderful gift of rest, warmth, and love.
With the holidays coming up, Mel would love nothing more than a cozy warm home to relax in and someone to show him he matters. He has so much sweetness to offer and is so deserving of a home of his own.
Mel and many other wonderful pets are available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5.
