The City of Fayetteville has released the next installment in its Telling Our Story” video series: “Where We’re Going.” This forward-looking episode showcases the dynamic projects and strategic investments poised to transform the community, marking a new chapter of opportunity and enhanced quality of life for the community.

The video provides an inside look at major upcoming initiatives, including the significant expansion of the city’s interconnected trails and path system, the development of the U.S. Soccer National Training Center, the introduction of new retail and dining experiences with the downtown “38 Acres” project, and the vibrant programming driven by the City’s Main Street Fayetteville economic development program.

“Our community is on an incredible trajectory, and ‘Where We’re Going’ captures the momentum we’ve all helped build,” said Nancy Musselwhite, chairperson of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA). “We are not just planning buildings; we are creating destinations and connections. The future expansion of our trails and paths is particularly exciting, as it will literally and figuratively connect our neighborhoods, parks, and downtown, making our city more accessible, healthy, and united.”

“Economic development today is about creating a complete and engaging ecosystem where people want to live, work, and play,” said Lori Funderwhite, Economic Development Director. “New projects coming online like the Trilith LIVE entertainment venue and the U.S. Soccer National Training Center, are catalytic for Fayetteville, drawing national attention and visitors.

“Coupled with our focused efforts to attract diverse retail and dining and our active Main Street programming, we are crafting unique opportunities for businesses to invest and create jobs, and for community engagement to benefit Fayetteville for generations to come,” Funderwhite continued. “A central theme of Fayetteville’s vision is this strategic approach to creating future opportunities for our residents and developing strong partnerships with our local businesses.”
