Sandy Creek High running back Amari Latimer was named the Georgia High School Football Daily Player of the Week for his dominant performance in the team’s region-clinching win over Troup on October 31. 

Latimer ran over, around, and through the Tigers for more than 250 total yards and 6 touchdowns as the Patriots rolled over their previously-unbeaten opposition to clinch the region crown. 

Latimer finished the regular season with 1,745 yards rushing at 10.3 yards per carry and 36 total touchdowns. 

The 10-0 Patriots open the state playoffs on Friday, November 14 against Cedar Grove.
