Brooke and Libby are 9-year-old sisters who have only ever known a life filled with love—until now. When their elderly owner suffered a serious medical emergency and could no longer care for them, they were brought to the shelter. Sadly, it’s unlikely their person will recover, and these sweet girls are left confused and heartbroken in a noisy, unfamiliar place.
Despite their sadness, Brooke and Libby remain as affectionate as can be and love everyone they meet—both people and other dogs. These girls are easy companions who simply want to be near you. They enjoy short walks and cozy naps, but don’t let their age fool you, they still have plenty of life, love, and tail wags left to share.
As seniors they have some typical medical concerns. Libby, however, needs some extra care. She has a large abdominal mass that makes walking difficult and adds stress to her joints. Thankfully, a very generous donation has been pledged to help with her veterinary expenses, but what she and Brooke need urgently is a loving home where they can heal and spend their golden years together.

Brooke and Libby are available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5. Come meet this sweet bonded pair and see how much love they have to give.
