The Citizen is proud to feature exceptional student-athletes from across our community each week. Whether they’re leading their teams to victory, showing strong character on and off the field, or making steady progress in their sport, these athletes represent the very best of local youth. We celebrate their hard work, dedication, and leadership in schools, leagues, and clubs throughout Fayette and Coweta counties.

This week, we’re proud to feature these athletes:

East Coweta High School
Parker Barnes
Football / Competitive Cheer

Parker has been an incredible leader this year, always encouraging her teammates and bringing positivity to the team.

Fayette County High School
Kenadie Marcus

As a Returning runner, Kenadie is stepping in as a leader and pushing herself to become better each practice. She shows maturity in balancing her activities and comes with a positive attitude.

McIntosh High School
Mya Conley

Mya represents McIntosh Volleyball incredibly well. She is a valuable member of our team both offensively and defensively, an incredibly hard worker, and a fantastic teammate. – Coach Holley Hayes

Z started in a game last week and has become a steady passer for our team. As an 8th grader, she has become an important player on our team. “Z is always smiling and is a great teammate. She has an amazing work ethic and keeps getting better every practice” – Bill Schmitz, head coach.

Starr’s Mill High School
Ana Miller

She is coming off a strong summer and has started as one of our top finishers for our first race of the season.
