PorchFest Returning to Senoia This Weekend

PorchFest Senoia returns for a fourth year this Sunday, August 31st. The porches of Senoia will be alive with music from 30 different local bands and musicians. Genres of music include country, bluegrass, rock, soul, jazz and 80’s hits. Event organizer Stephanie Reeder says, “We had over 60 bands or musicians apply to play this year. Apparently the word about our previous PorchFests successes has spread amongst the local musicians. We were thrilled to have so many quality acts to choose from. They all want to share their talent and love of music with the people of Coweta, Fayette and Spalding counties.” 

Marty James Martin will perform a VIP concert at the Senoia Farmer’s Market from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Tickets for the VIP event can be purchased in advance. Exclusive VIP guests will receive an entry to win one of three premium spirit baskets (collectively valued at over $1,000), a $15 gift card, an event t-shirt, drink tickets for 3 adult beverages, reserved parking, VIP bathroom access, small bites, and a commemorative lanyard. Music, artisans, kids activities and food trucks will be available from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. This year’s event will feature 30 performances on 30 stages, porch bands will include: Brain Fog, Chilly Fingers, Chuck x Nick, Conman Boseway, Dale Dieckbernd, DozeGuys, Duncan Brothers, Flint River Rev’lers, Jackson & McDaniel, James & The Georgia Peaches, James Michael & TCC, Kraken’s Release, Luke Brown & The Jubilee, Marty James Martin, Mary Martin, Montgomery Pike, Rattled Bones, Righteous Revolver, Rock Soldered Blues, Rogan Rogers, Rongo and Friends, Shade Dogz, Sean Carter Band, The Expectations,The Seven Two, Third Up, and Venus Kings.

In addition to the live music, Maguires Family & Friends and a great selection of food trucks will provide food and drinks to purchase. Artist Alley will feature talented local artisans selling their wares and a family-friendly Kids Corner will feature an inflatable obstacle course, balloon art, glitter tattoos, Chad with More Music Foundation, Chalk the Walk, bubbles, games and crafts for young music lovers. 

From 7:00 – 8:00 PM an additional 4 venues will feature spotlight musicians in downtown Senoia. From 8:00 – 10:00 Rhythm Major Band will close out the event with a concert at the south end of Main Street.  

PorchFest is a pedestrian event. The streets where PorchFest will take place will be closed to all automobile and golf cart traffic. Attendees are encouraged to park in downtown Senoia and walk to the porches and stages. Walking shoes and folding chairs are recommended. No outside coolers may be brought into the performance perimeter.
