McIntosh High alum Noah Burgess was a key piece of the winning team at the Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship Finals.
Burgess and his team, the Boston Crusaders, claimed 1st place at the competition held in Indianapolis. He is the number one Tympani player in DCI, which is an international competitive music program for people ages 15-22.
This accomplishment took thousands of individual and collaborative practice hours to achieve.
“In the music world, this is a highly-competitive organization, and we are beyond proud of Noah’s hard work and dedication,” said McIntosh High Director of Bands Barbara Baker.
Burgess is currently a music student at Kennesaw State University.
