Peachtree City, GA (March 14, 2025) – On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Local government leaders from across the region gathered at City Hall, located at 151 Willowbend Road, for the 2025 Municipal Summit, a collaborative event designed to foster dialogue and strengthen partnerships between cities. Representatives from Brooks, Fayetteville, Newnan, Peachtree City, Senoia, Tyrone, and Woolsey attended, engaging in discussions on transportation, conservation, aviation, and more.
The event featured expert speakers, including representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation, the U.S. Soccer Federation, Atlanta Regional Airport – Falcon Field, and the Southern Conservation Trust. Discussions covered regional infrastructure, environmental initiatives, and economic opportunities impacting local municipalities.
Peachtree City Mayor Kim Learnard expressed enthusiasm for the participation and attendance from neighboring cities. “It is critical to all of us to keep these good relationships,” stated Learnard. “This is an annual event we all look forward to.”
The summit concluded with a municipal report-out session, allowing city leaders to share updates and initiatives. Peachtree City remains committed to fostering regional cooperation and looks forward to hosting future events that strengthen local government partnerships.
Located 22 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Peachtree City is Fayette County’s largest city. The planned community, chartered in 1959, boasts more than 100 miles of multi-use paths that allow over 40,000 residents to navigate the town using golf carts instead of cars.
