Kimani Kashambah Edwards, 39, of Fairburn, Georgia, passed away August 8, 2022, in Huntersville, North Carolina. He was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, on February 11, 1983, to the late Jose Edwards and Marie Williams.

Raised in the Bronx, New York, Kimani proudly and briefly served in the Army. He then retired from Pinkerton Government Services, where he served as a security escort across a variety of Naval bases in the D.C. area.

His hobbies included collecting action figures, anime, video games, and watching WWE matches and NBA games. Most of all he was a Sneaker Head, collecting an impressive amount of rare and exclusive sneakers.

Kimani is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Nancy Edwards; daughter, Keira Edwards; siblings, Frank Alexander, Joseph Samuel, Anthea DeVincentis, Glenroy Williams, Cindy Cusset, Lisa Edwards, and Luis Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
