There’s a new leader for the pod of Dolphins at North Fayette Elementary in Principal David McBride.
“I have been a part of this community for many years as a teacher and administrator, and I am elated to continue my journey in strengthening the young minds of these fantastic groups of students to excel in high standards for academic achievement,” said McBride.
He most recently served as the Virtual Academy Administrator for grades K-8 for Fayette County Public Schools. Among many roles in the county, he also was an assistant principal at Starr’s Mill High and Flat Rock Middle.
“My vision for North Fayette Elementary is for us to consistently demonstrate a commitment to excellence through our high expectations in academics for students,” he said. “Our goal is to illustrate to our students how much we care for them by expecting each and every one of them to succeed and excel. We will collaborate with one another to ensure that student learning is occurring at the highest level.”
McBride brings a philosophy of working together with the community to help students reach their highest potential.
“Together, we will cultivate these gifts and create exceptional educational environments where students strive and thrive in excellence,” he said. “I look forward to working with our families this school year, and I am excited for this great journey of making our students shine!”
