Annual Juvenile Justice Forum set for Aug. 27

The Fayette County NAACP Youth Council’s thought-provoking annual Juvenile Justice Forum is returning in-person on Saturday, August 27 from noon to 3 p.m. Students in grades 8-12 and their parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.

This year’s theme is “Be Achievers and Winners: 2022 Back-to-School Guidelines” and discussion topics include: School policies and safety, mental and emotional wellness, conflict resolution, and initiatives for academic success.

Invited panelists include school system and law enforcement officials, along with juvenile justice and health department representatives.

The Fayette County Public Library, located at 1821 Heritage Parkway in Fayetteville, will be the host.
