‘Sneak peek’ May 18 at Venue at Daisy Hill —
Piedmont Fayette Hospital will launch the Women’s Health Connection in late summer of this year. The program is designed to be a “one-stop shop” resource to meet the unique and changing medical needs of women from young adult to mature adulthood.
The Piedmont Fayette Women’s Health Connection will offer direct access to get trusted information and answers to a wide array of health concerns and issues that can affect woman’s health.
“Women are often the healthcare decision makers in their homes,” said Merry Heath, Chief Nursing Officer at Piedmont Fayette. “It is our goal to provide women with easy access to the information, services, and resources they need to best care for themselves and their families.”
The Women’s Health Connection is made possible by the generous donation of Bob and Debi Lenox. It will feature an online portal with options for live or online chats with a Wellness Navigator, a wide array of health education and information that every woman should know based on their age, health screening reminders, and appointment scheduling.
A special “sneak preview” of the Women’s Health Connection program will be held on Wednesday, May 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Venue at Daisy Hill in Fayetteville (1048 Hwy. 54 West). The event is free and open to the community. Registration for the event is required. Sign-up at surveymonkey.com/r/pfhwomenshealth.
The event will showcase greater details of the program and will feature keynote speakers Tanya Beckford, M.D., FACOG with Southern Crescent Women’s Healthcare, and Marsha Gail Davis, M.D., MPH with Piedmont Physicians. Both physicians will discuss the importance of taking an active role in your health at every stage of your life. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with the speakers and visit exhibit areas highlighting important key health services.
