FCHS Literary Team steals the show at regions

The Fayette County High Literary Team stole the show at their region competition, winning the team title with wins in 10 different categories.

Region winners were Shairice Garner for Rhetorical Essay, Kelly Adams for Argumentative Essay, Hallel Pearson for Personal Essay, Helengladys Scott for Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Chad Duncan for International Extemporaneous Speaking, Kylia Ohonde for Humorous Interpretation, Alex Reppy for Dramatic Interpretation, Kylia Ohonde and Alex Reppy for Duo Interpretation, Jada Anderson for Soloist, and Tamilore Balogun, Jada Anderson, and Adah Amoji for Trio.

The region victories qualified each competitor for state, where Kelly Adams placed 3rd in Argumentative Essay and Chad Duncan placed 4th in International Extemporaneous Speaking.

The FCHS Literary Team is a combination of the drama department’s Tiger Troupe, Fayette Chorale, the debate team, and the English department.

Fayette County High’s Literary Team won their region championship, along with victories in 10 different categories.
