3 McIntosh girls named volleyball All-Americans

Add another accolade to the list of accomplishments for the McIntosh volleyball team as three players have been named All-Americans by PrepVolleyball.com. Seniors Ngozi Iloh and Claire Lewis and junior Alexa Markley are among 100 players from around the country to earn the honor.

Iloh, a middle hitter signed to play for Duke University next year, posted 525 kills, 52 blocks, and 41 aces this season. Iloh was the 5A State Player of the Year, All-State, and a MaxPreps First-Team All-American.

Lewis, a setter signed to play at Georgia State, tallied 1,012 assists, 262 digs, 75 kills, and 51 assists, earning All-County Player of the Year honors. Lewis was also All-State and a MaxPreps Second-Team All-American.

Markley, a junior outside hitter already committed to play at Penn State, notched 405 kills, 73 digs, and 21 blocks this season. Markley was also All-State and a MaxPreps Second-Team All-American.

The Chiefs went 33-1 this season, winning a remarkable fourth-straight state championship.
