Robert Arthur (BJ) Sellers, Jr.

Robert Arthur Sellers, Jr., 38, of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away on Oct. 3, 2020. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City.

Mr. Sellers (BJ) was born June 3, 1982 in Atlanta. BJ grew up in Peachtree City and graduated from McIntosh High School in 2001. He played on the varsity baseball team for the Chiefs. He earned a B.S. in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 2005. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity chapter and an avid fan of the Yellow Jackets’ athletics teams. His love of music included Widespread Panic, The Grateful Dead, and The Rolling Stones.

BJ married Emily Langbehn, also of Peachtree City, on July 10, 2010. Their ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. They have three young girls. BJ most recently worked as a consultant at Agillitics, a supply chain data company.

BJ was a supportive and loving husband and father. He was active in his daughters’ lives, building LEGO and school projects with them, coaching their youth softball teams and taking them on trips throughout Georgia and to beaches on the Gulf Coast. He was active in his community and served as a mentor to students at his alma mater in Atlanta. He played golf and loved to cheer for the Atlanta Braves.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Ira Jackson and Florence (Toby) James DeMonia. Paternal grandparents James Thomas & Jean Adair Sellers, Sr.

BJ is survived by his wife, Emily, and daughters, Nora, Alice and Molly; parents, Robert Sr. and Joy Sellers; sister, Libby Bowen (Wesley), and niece, Penelope; in-laws, Doug and Lori Langbehn; brothers-in-law: Jason Langbehn and Casey Langbehn (Selena), and nephews Luke and Owen. Aunts and Uncles include Angela Sellers White (Harold), Jimmy Sellers (Barbara), Jim DeMonia, Rick DeMonia and Angie DeMonia Speegle (Wayne).

Outdoor reception to follow Celebration of Life from 12-2 pm at Braelinn Golf Club poolside area, Peachtree City, Ga

A college fund is being set up for BJ and Emily’s daughters. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Emily Sellers at her home. The Sellers family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.
