Tyrone is looking for residents to submit photos of landscapes, landmarks and events taken within the town limits to be displayed inside the new Town Hall complex currently under construction.
The new complex on Senoia Road, across from Shamrock Park, is expected to open in the fall and will house Town Hall, Tyrone Municipal Court and the Tyrone Police Department.
“Since this is your building, we want to give our citizens the opportunity to be a part of it by submitting photos for consideration to be used as decoration throughout the facility. We are looking for high-quality images of landscapes, landmarks, and events taken within the Town limits,” said Town Manager Brandon Perkins.
The images selected will be nicely framed and displayed along the building’s internal corridors as well as in meeting spaces and public rooms for all to enjoy, Perkins said.
“If we select your photo(s), you will be officially recognized by our Mayor and Council at a public meeting and we will send an email blast like this one that includes a copy of each chosen photo. This is in addition to having the ability to say that you played an important role in making this amazing new facility become a reality,” a Tyrone press release said.
Photo requirements include:
– high resolution
– large enough to be printed at 8×10 minimum
– color and black and white are acceptable
– landscape layout is preferred
Those wanting to submit photos should send them to Perkins at bperkins@tyrone.org by Aug. 24 at 5 p.m.
Submittals must include name, phone number and a statement giving the town permission to use the photo(s).
