Parishioners Faye Georgeo (L) and Dedee Panayis of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church joined nearly 150 honorees from 73 sister parishes of the Greek Orthodox Diocese (Metropolis) of Atlanta on November 9 in Atlanta for the Annual Archangel Michael Honors Banquet.

It was attended by 530 parishioners from the eight U.S. Southeastern states. Faye and Dedee were chosen because they exemplify the Orthodox Christian way of life by their deep faith, commitment, dedication and service to the Church and Jesus Christ.

Since 1998, the Diocesan family has come together in Atlanta in an opportunity to honor and celebrate the Diocesan Patron Saint (Archangel Michael) and the lives of two adults from each parish who are living examples of the Orthodox Christian life and journey to Theosis.

This special Metropolis celebration is also the annual Diocesan celebration and thanksgiving for all devout stewards of their faith, time and talents.
