Fayette County Public Schools and Exceptional OPS will host its annual Community Connections and Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 29, from 6:00-8:45 p.m. at the LaFayette Educational Center, Building D, located at 205 LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville, Georgia.
The fair is for families of students with disabilities to gain information about services within the community. Over 30 representatives with local organizations will be there to offer information about their services and answer any questions. Areas represented will include financial, legal, tutoring, adult services, therapies, health, and higher education.
There will be two breakout sessions featuring an overview of Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation, an organization that provides services to both general curriculum and adapted curriculum students. These services include assessments for employment, payment for Certified Comprehensive Transition programs, transportation to work sites or training programs, career assessment and planning, and short-term supported employment. The breakouts will be repeated from 6:30-7:20 p.m. and 7:30-8:20 p.m.
