Word of God Lutheran Church has completed its building project and is moving into its new home at 4486 E. Hwy 34 in Sharpsburg. The first worship service at the new location is Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at 10:15 a.m. A nursery is provided. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome.
On Sunday, October 27th, a dedication service for the new church building will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. A reception will follow the service.
Word of God Lutheran Church was founded in 2010 in Peachtree City. After nine years at its location on Kelly Drive, it began its building project in Sharpsburg. The new property consists of 17 acres on E. Hwy. 34, on the banks of Shoal Creek, about one mile west of Sam’s Club.
Word of God is a member congregation with the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) and Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
