This is your opportunity to help protect one of our most precious resources. Help us clean up the Line Creek Nature Area’s trails, shores and waters by joining in support of Rivers Alive on Saturday, November 3rd from 9 a.m. to noon.
Since 1999, Rivers Alive has been Georgia’s annual volunteer waterway cleanup event that targets all waterways in the State including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches, and wetlands.
Fayette County Extension/4-H, along with Fayette County Adopt-A-Stream and Southern Conservation Trust, will sponsor a Rivers Alive Clean Up at the Line Cree Nature Area in Peachtree City on Nov. 3.
Please meet at the gazebo at 9 a.m., to register. Participants under the age of 18 and NOT active 4-H’ers must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers must complete a liability form, available at http://ugaextension.org/county-offices/fayette/4-h-youth-development.html prior to participation.
Don’t forget to bring/wear appropriate clothing, shoes/boots, work gloves and bring water bottles. Bring signed waiver or arrive several minutes early to complete one. Volunteer T-shirt will be presented while supplies last.
Contact the Fayette County Cooperative Extension/4-H office for more information at 770-305-5412; ask for Mike De Lisle.
