This year marks the 18th iteration of the annual New Hope Harvest Classic 5K run/walk. The race is Nov. 3, and the course is USATF certified. This race has become a tradition on the southside attended by runners from all over metropolitan Atlanta
Race Director Bob Dalton says, “We have one of the best race venues around with lots of door prizes, refreshments, entertainment. The course itself is along a scenic tree-lined route during the peak of leaf season and is part of one of the top 50 runs in Atlanta listed in the Atlanta Running Guide. Door prizes include free car washes, gift cards, gym memberships, and our Grand Prize is a one hour flight in a L-19 Warbird!”
All proceeds are for a very worthy cause because they benefit New Hope Missions in Wales. Ministries include visiting care homes, schools, prisons, and ministering through community service projects, street connections, and women’s, children’s and student events in the poverty stricken valleys of Wales.
