Michael Anthony Carmolingo, Sr. of Deltona, Fla. passed away on September 15, 2018.
Mike, who was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and attended Villanova University, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His commitment and hard work ethic resulted in a 30 year career with National Freight, and he continued working after retirement through service to his community. Mike was a tireless and true servant to the Deltona, Fla. community, where he served as the Commissioner of District 6, was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy Lodge #2441, and volunteered with multiple organizations.
Mike was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Eloise (2015); his mother, Sarah (2010); his brother, Russell (2008); and his father, Pasquale (1960).
He is survived by his seven children, Patrick (Charlotte) Carmolingo, Michelle Carmolingo, John (Daphne) Carmolingo, Michael Carmolingo Jr., Angela (Jeff) Osby, Russell Carmolingo, and Sarah (Matthew) Bloomfield; his nine grandchildren, Michael, John Michael, Nicole, Krystle, Heather, Pamela, Leah, Megan, and Rachel; his six great grandchildren, and his sisters, Carmella (Pasquale) DiRienzo and Maria (Fred) Riegel and sister-in-law Judith Carmolingo.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City. The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service.
Flowers may be sent to Carl J. Mowell & Sons Funeral Home, Peachtree City, Ga. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, Ga., beside his wife Eloise.
