New bishop installed

The Fayetteville congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints received a new bishopric in June of 2018. Dale Stanton has been called as bishop succeeding Doug Waldorf, who served for five years.

Bishop Stanton earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University and has spent nearly two decades in the airline industry, where he is currently employed as a manager for Delta Air Lines. He and his wife, Suzanne, are the parents of five children. Joe Turner, a longtime employee at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Dean Cottle, who works for Delta Air Lines, have been called as counselors to assist Bishop Stanton with his new position.

Each of these individuals accepted his responsibility on a voluntary basis and will retain his position with his current employer. The new bishopric will be responsible for members living in the Fayetteville area.
