Sandy Creek High grad Allie Davenport is about to embark on a professional volleyball career.

After winning two state championships and various All-State honors in high school, she spent four years at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga where the team earned a conference title in 2016 and she finished in the top ten in a few career statistical categories.

Davenport is no stranger to international competition as she was offered a spot as a six-rotation outside hitter at the Univ. of East London (England) while earning her master’s degree.  From there she earned a contract to play volleyball for a pro team in Sweden, Lunds-VK (Lund).

She leaves for Sweden at the end of August.
