Peachtree City corrects Senoia Road rezoning mistake

A housekeeping issue pertaining to the recently-approved residential development on Senoia Road was one of a small number of items on the June 7 agenda of the Peachtree City Council.

Council members on March 15 approved the LUR (limited use residential) rezoning for a small residential development on the city’s extreme northwest side.

Planning and Development Director Mike Warrix said staff had been notified of a apparent inconsistency in the ordinance language relating to the side setback requirement.

Warrix requested the language be changed to reflect what the council previously approved — a minimum side setback of 0 feet provided that there is at least a 10-foot separation between homes.

The vote by the council was unanimous.
