High school senior and softball player Katelyn Perry has been recognized by both the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) for her leadership and sportsmanship with adults and other student athletes. Both organizations awarded her with a Certificate of Excellence commending her actions both on and off the field.

“Thank you for your service to the students and coaches, and administrators of our member high schools. We appreciate your willingness to lead in such a positive manner and for being an advocate for sportsmanship in our schools. We are fortunate that you continue to serve the GHSA and your school in such a dynamic capacity,” wrote Penny Pitts Michell, associate director of the GHSA, in a congratulatory letter written to Katelyn.
