A Peachtree City homeowner made an unusual find in his back yard the day before Valentine’s Day. He found several syringes half-buried in mud near a cart path.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Odilia Bergh said an officer at approximately 3:15 p.m. was called to a residence on Haven Ridge near South Peachtree Parkway.
The homeowner said he found several syringes, which appeared to have been used, on a dirt walking path through his back yard that leads to the cart path, police reports said.
Bergh said the caps were off and the syringes were half-buried in the mud, in a low-lying area that tends to accumulate water from off-site during a rain.
Bergh added that there was no fluid in the syringes.
She said a plastic bag that could have contained the syringes, was found nearby.
