Burglary, entering autos reported

The period of Nov. 26 through Dec. 2 came with several calls about a burglary, a stolen golf cart and several entering autos across Fayette County.

A golf cart was reported stolen from the parking lot at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City on Nov. 29. The victim told officers her teenage son drove the golf cart to school and parked it in the parking lot, according to Peachtree City police reports.

Officers responding to a suspicious person call at the Camden Apartments off Ga. Highway 54 West found a vehicle with the rear passenger window shattered and all four tire rims removed. Police reports said the victim was notified about the incident.

There was a burglary and an entering auto incident in Fayetteville during the period.

The burglary at a West Lanier Avenue construction site was reported on Nov. 28. The forced entry into the construction trailer resulted in the theft of a television, a camera and a hard hat, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Chad Myers.

A Nov. 28 entering auto occurred at a Clarendon Place residence off South Jeff Davis Drive. Myers said a small amount of cash was stolen from the unlocked vehicle.

Unincorporated Fayette saw two entering auto incidents during the period.

One of those occurred Nov. 26 at McCurry Park on McDonough Road. Sherif Barry Babb said a vehicle was entered after a window was shattered and a purse and credit cards stolen.

The other incident occurred on Nov. 27 near Milam Road when a cell phone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, Babb said.
