The Peachtree City Elite competition team, which is a part of Fayette County Football and Cheer, had a winning season.

These 22 cheerleaders, made up of local girls from the Fayette County and surrounding areas, worked hard to complete and perform a two-and-a-half-minute choreographed routine. Coached by Lauryn Burkhalter and Brianne Hendrix, the PTC Elite cheerleaders earned first place and Grand Champion in their division at the Stingrays Circus Jam, which makes this team the 2017 Recreational Cheer State Champions.

Other awards this team has won this season are first place and Grand Champion of their division as well as Choreography Award at Stingrays Halloween Jam in Powder Springs. They also won the Coach’s Award and Channing Patterson took third place in the tumble off at Circus Jam.

The community team is mostly made up of Starr’s Mill and McIntosh districted girls.
