Fayette County School System spokesperson Melinda Berry-Dreisbach said the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals (GAESP) has named Huddleston Elementary School Assistant Principal Jamie Voorhies an Outstanding Assistant Principal for Georgia for 2017.
“She will be introduced during the GAESP business meeting at the summer Georgia Association of Educational Leaders conference, and will be honored during an awards luncheon at the GAESP fall conference in November,” Berry-Dreisbach said.
Berry-Dreisbach said the award is presented to an active assistant principal who has served a minimum of two years at his or her present school and holds a Georgia L5 certification.
GAESP is the only organization in the state that represents assistant principals.
