Michael Alan Ehrlich, 49, of Jonesboro died suddenly on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Louise Drew; grandparents, Beatrice Ehrlich and Jerry Charno, and aunt and uncle, Lynne and Robert Woehr.
He is survived by his dearest love of ten years, Carla Scott and their granddaughter, Jayden Hall; step-children, Jamie Hall and Joshua Scott. He is also survived by his father and stepmother, Michael and Charlene Ehrlich of Jasper; grandparents, Fred and Eleanor Drew of Fayetteville; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Susan Ehrlich of Atlanta; brother, Mark Ehrlich of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Keri Shea of Newnan; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jay Raymond of Fayetteville; and aunt and uncle, Pat and John Houlihan of Jonesboro.
He was a beloved uncle to his nephew, Brenden Ehrlich of Sarasota, Fla.; nephews, Colin, Morgan, and Hudson Shea of Newnan; and niece, Camille and nephew, John Michael Raymond of Fayetteville. He is also survived by cousins, Kelly and Danny Geronimos of Marietta, Katie Houlihan of Jonesboro, Casey Woehr of Davie, Fla., and Jennifer Coleman of Winter Haven, Fla., as well as young children of his cousins.
Mike grew up in Fayetteville and graduated in 1986 from Fayette County High School. Mike was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was based overseas in Germany and Italy where he had some of his most memorable adventures. Mike was of the Christian faith and an avid soccer fan. He also loved music and was a DJ at the base clubs in Germany. As a child, he learned to work on houses from his grandfather who built homes for a living. As he grew older, he used many of these skills to become an independent contractor. His success in business can be directly attributed to his hard work and natural mechanical ability. He was a loving cousin, uncle, brother, grandfather, grandson, and son. His smile and sense of humor will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2010 Commerce Drive N, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269. The family invites all of Mike’s friends and loved ones to join them for a time of remembering and sharing.
