A Griffin man has been charged by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office with burglary and multiple counts of fraud in connection with a December break-in at a store in south Fayette County.

Sheriff Barry Babb said Christopher F. Hornsby, 41, was charged with burglary, 16 counts of fraud to influence lottery winnings and theft by deception.

Babb said the December burglary at the store south of Woolsey on Ga. Highway 92 South occurred after Hornsby smashed the front door glass and entered the store, stealing several bins of lottery tickets.

Store video showed a white male wearing a skull cap, said Babb.

Babb said the arrest came with the cooperation of other agencies, including those in Spalding County.
