We will be celebrating the life of Cynthia Lorene Baltzegar Hair, 71, of Jackson, Ga. who passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at her home with her family at her side.
This rebirth marks the end of her love story that spanned 55 years with her husband, Jim, and included a daughter, three sons and four grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Grandmama” to her grandchildren.
She was a home maker and provided for her husband and children. We remember her as a wife, loving mother and friend to many. She always enjoyed making the holidays special for her family and friends.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Clemia Isiah Baltzegar and Verdelle Gramling Baltzegar, a son, James Donald Hair, a half sister, Sadie B. Jackson and a sister-in-law, Jackie Ross.
Survivors include her husband James Edward Hair, Jr., her brother, Larry Wayne Baltzegar, her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Donald Jue, Flowery Branch, Ga., her son, Donald Hair, Locust Grove, Ga., and her son and daughter-in-law, David and Mishelle Hair, Houston, Ga., her grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Jue, Elizabeth and Lilly Sophia Hair, her nephews, Larry, Brian and Zachary Baltzegar, and her nieces, Rene Collins and Christy DeBenedittis.
Cynthia’s family is grateful to Southern Grace Hospice and Palliative Care and their wonderful nurse, Selena Moldonado, and caregiver, Kim Searcy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg, S.C. with the Reverend Roger Gambling officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Cynthia loved beautiful flowers and hoped her memorial would be “Brimming with Flowers.”
