Theodore H. Millman, 73, of Fayetteville

Theodore H. “Ted” Millman, 73, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away at his home on April 4th, 2017.

Ted was born in Logan, W. Va., and grew up in Detroit, Mich. He attended Western Military Academy in Alton, Ill., received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia in Athens.

Ted served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1966 through 1969, and met his wife, Karen, while attending OCS in Athens, Ga. Ted retired from working as a computer specialist with Weyerhaeuser Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs, and horseback riding. He loved reading, music, history and working on the computer.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Millman, of Fayetteville, a daughter, Jen MacQueen, of Doraville, Ga., a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Michael Swanger, of Fayetteville, and Eleanor Millman, a sister from Fairmont, W. Va. He has three grandchildren, Thierry MacQueen, of Doraville, and Peyton Roberts and Emily Swanger, of Fayetteville.

A memorial service was held at Inman Methodist Church on April 9 with Reverend Jim Hanna officiating.
