‘Why?’ series continues at COS
The series of “Why?” questions continues this week at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. On Wednesday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m., Scott Jacobson will address “Why Church?” A manager for Delta Airlines, Scott has been a youth leader and Sunday School teacher. Weekly Lenten services continue at WOG
Word of God Lutheran Church’s weekly Lenten services continue at 7 p.m. each Wednesday through April 5. Heritage yard sale is this Friday, Saturday
Members of Heritage Christian Church are collecting items for their yard sale set for Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items to be donated can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. next to the brick building where the offices are located. COS plans pancake supper, auction
The annual Pancake Supper and Silent Auction to benefit Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran’s Preschool Angel Fund is Friday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Proceeds provide scholarships to preschool families. A popular local breakfast restaurant will be cooking pancakes and sausage. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway. Book study begins at Christ the King
Father Tony McGee of Christ the King Church in Sharpsburg is leading a study of the book, “Transformed Into His Image,” by Dr. David Kyle Foster. The study meets on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, 4881 Ga. Highway 34 East, Sharpsburg. There is no charge although the book should be purchased to fully participate. The community is invited.

Easter music performance set at NHBC
The National Heights Baptist Church Adult Choir and Friends will present “Wondrous Love” on Sunday, April 9, at 6 p.m. “Wondrous Love” is a worship experience for Easter by Benjamin Harlan. Jewish friendship group forming
A new Jewish friendship group, Havurah Hachnasat Orchim, based on the philosophy of Rabbi Mordecai M. Kaplan, is now forming on the south side. Its vision is to create a community where ancient tradition is blended with innovation. The group will be all-inclusive, egalitarian, interfaith, LGBT friendly, non biased and welcoming.
