The Sixth Annual Dr. Gerald Troutman Big Give, an American Red Cross blood drive, will be hosted by the Coweta Community Foundation Tuesday, Feb. 14, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Donald W. Nixon Centre for Performing and Visual Arts in Newnan.
The event is named in memory of Dr. Gerald Troutman, a local pastor and civic leader who was a board member of the Foundation and passed away in 2012.
Foundation Board Member Michelle Boyd is serving as chair of this year’s Big Give, which she said is CCF’s annual community blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross. “We already know this community has a lot of heart,” Boyd said, “so it’s fitting that this year’s Big Give falls on Valentine’s Day.”
Those interested in giving blood that day can sign up online now at redcrossblood.org and use cowetacf as the code for the event. For more information, call the Foundation office at 770-253-1833.
