The Senoia Historical Society is scheduled to meet Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Senoia Historical Society Museum, 6 Couch Street in Senoia.

Members and guests will be treated to visits from two famous literary figures from Coweta County’s past.

Carol Chancey, director of the Moreland Community Historical Society (and supporter of storytelling and of the Southern Crescent Storytellers), will be speaking to members and guests, introducing many for the first time to the museums honoring Lewis Grizzard and Erskine Caldwell, and offering an introduction to the lives of these men.

Neal Peeples, of Southern Crescent Storytellers, will be channeling columnist and humorist Grizzard while Society member Ralph Arnold will read selections from Caldwell’s powerful Depression era novels.

Doors open at 6:30.
