GCA sets December concerts

Griffin Choral Arts continues a community Christmas tradition with two December Concerts during its Tenth Anniversary Season.

“CHEERS!” will be presented Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Griffin First Baptist Church (106 W. Taylor St.) at 7:30 p.m. and again Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. at Griffin First United Methodist Church (1401 Maple Dr.).

Experience this choral holiday celebration accompanied by organ, percussion, and Macon’s Barrister Brass. Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and selections from Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata will be presented. The first appearance of the new GCA Children’s Chorus will be Sunday afternoon.

Concert tickets may be purchased in Griffin at Safehouse Coffee Roasters, Artistic Flowers & Gifts or Griffin First United Methodist Church; in Barnesville at Goggins Florist; or in Zebulon at A Novel Experience. Other options include the GCA website or at the door, prior to the concerts. General admission tickets are $15 each.
