Local community organization Clothes Less Traveled recently made a generous donation in support of Fayette Senior Services’ much-needed technology update.
FSS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, accepted a contribution of $8,150 from Clothes Less Traveled to assist in updating their technology. This donation allowed FSS to replace their main server and support equipment that has been operating long past its planned replacement deadline. It also assisted in improving the network accessing the server, updating the programs running on the server and other related programming.
This included FSS’ very important Meals on Wheels program, transportation program, recreation and fitness programs as well as membership database. In addition, it will help support their continued investment in technology that makes it possible to serve and meet the needs of their clients, members, and volunteers.
“This donation insures that the technology backbone of our operation remains reliable. It helps us maintain the equipment that keeps track of everything from which meal is to be delivered to each Meals on Wheels recipient to which senior needs to be delivered safely to which doctor or dialysis treatment center. In short, this supports our mission critical programs that serve our seniors,” said FSS facilities manager Dan Gibbs.
“Fayette Senior Services is so appreciative of the partnership and support that Clothes Less Traveled provides and we cannot thank them enough for their generosity and endless support of the Fayette County community,” said Morgan Lanier, FSS program development coordinator.
